TORCH |
|
|
TECH CORPS Illinois has partnered with Digital Media Center to provide volunteers for the Technical OutReach for Community Help (TORCH) program.
The TORCH workshops are aimed at 6th to 10th grade students. During the TORCH workshops, participants get a snapshot of different computer, engineering, mathematics, and science applications that utilize technology. Topics will include, but will not be limited to developing WebPages, Introduction to programming, and Introduction to engineering.

On October 1, 2021 TECH CORPS Illinois volunteers visited nine Chicago area school as part of the national TechiesDay .
Volunteers visited schools and talked to students about their careers in technology, impact of technology in our lives and demonstrated the use of personal devices like cell phones, digital cameras, etc.
